Food and energy security will be key topics at the SCO summit

Security in the field of food and energy is part of the agenda of the upcoming summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, said the special representative of the Russian President for investment and economic cooperation with foreign countries, the head of the RDIF, Kirill Dmitriev, whose words are quoted in the Telegram channel “Yunashev Live”.

According to Dmitriev, the SCO is Russia's most important partner.

“And we see that, of course, on the SCO agenda is energy security and food security where Russia plays an absolutely key role in the world,” he said.

Thus, according to him, food supplies from Russia to the SCO countries increased by 17% last year.

“Therefore, of course, we will increase the investment packages of deals and will implement more and more joint projects with the SCO countries, which are aimed at mutually beneficial economic and investment cooperation,” Dmitriev concluded.
