As the expert said, researchers from the Institute of Zoology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences have developed a technology that can replace strength training with a regular injection. The method, she says, is based on so-called myografts - muscle cells extracted from the quadriceps muscle, and after subcutaneous injection they independently organize into functional tissue.

“In the future, if the technology passes clinical trials on humans, it may also be of interest to healthy people who want to maintain muscle mass without going to the gym - for example, due to lack of time or health restrictions. It is possible that Russians will also be able to use it,” Divinskaya noted in an interview with NEWS.ru.

According to her, in experiments on mice, after administration of the drug, they increased muscle mass, strength and bone density, and also decreased signs of systemic inflammation. In addition, as the expert noted, the rodents’ liver function improved and the body’s energy consumption increased.
