Karasin spoke about the need to continue Russian-American contacts

It is difficult to conduct a dialogue with the current Ukrainian authorities, but the United States has the appropriate levers, so it is necessary to continue Russian-American contacts, says Grigory Karasin, head of the Federation Council Committee on International Affairs.

A meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and US Presidential Special Envoy Steve Witkoff and the American leader's son-in-law Jared Kushner took place on Saturday in the Kremlin. It lasted more than three hours. From the Russian side, the negotiations were also attended by Assistant to the President of Russia Yuri Ushakov and Special Representative of the President of the Russian Federation for Investment and Economic Cooperation with Foreign Countries, Head of the RDIF Kirill Dmitriev.
