Cheongju City grants additional points for work experience to civil servants who work hard and avoid public complaints

Cheongju City gives additional points for work experience to public officials who handle heavy civil affairs.

The city announced on the 29th that it had announced a partial amendment to the 'Cheongju City Local Public Official Personnel Rules' containing these contents.

The amendment includes the addition of a new item for ‘working in a position with heavy duties or complaints that are avoided’ in the work experience bonus points.

Additional points for work experience are points added to the rating list of promotion candidates based on the period of time worked in a specific job.

If you take on this task, you will receive an additional point of 0.02 points per month, up to a maximum of 0.48 points.

After working for two years, the upper limit of 0.48 points is reached.

Currently, the city designates jobs with a high workload as 'heavy duty' regardless of department or type of work, and provides benefits such as additional performance points, reward leave, and transfer to a desired department.

Currently, 34 tasks (approximately 130 people), including the child protection team and serious disaster team, have been designated as heavy tasks.

Separately, the city plans to select the most difficult (avoided) complaints handling tasks and give additional points for work experience.

The target civil complaint work will receive applications from each department early next year, and will be confirmed as early as the first half of next year after a vote by all employees.

In the case of each district office's traffic guidance team, the burden of responding to civil complaints is heavy, so the district office is changing its personnel every six months to a year.

A city official said, “The intention is to provide personnel benefits to employees working in positions with a high burden of civil service work.”
