Eczacıbaşı Sports Club Celebrated its 60th Anniversary

Eczacıbaşı, one of the well-established clubs of Turkish sports, held a ceremony on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of its establishment.

In the organization held at Eczacıbaşı Sports Club HDI Sigorta Sports Hall, names that left their mark in the history of the club came together.

Turkish Volleyball Federation (TVF) President Mehmet Akif Üstündağ, Eczacıbaşı Sports Club President Faruk Eczacıbaşı and many athletes and coaches who played in volleyball, basketball, table tennis and chess in the 60-year history of the orange-whites attended the ceremony.

At the event, where Eczacıbaşı's 60-year history was highlighted, attention was drawn to the achievements achieved in different periods, and names that contributed to Turkish volleyball were commemorated.

In his statement, TVF President Mehmet Akif Üstündağ said, "Turkish volleyball is going through historic days. We are number 1 in the world and in Europe. We are a federation and a country that is shown as an example in the world. Our clubs are the cornerstone of being number one in the world. I take my hat off to the Eczacıbaşı family. I am glad to have you."

President Üstündağ congratulated the club for its contributions to Turkish volleyball for 60 years and presented a plaque to Faruk Eczacıbaşı.

The organization ended with a group photo.

"OUR GOAL IS ABSOLUTELY TO WIN"

Following the 60th anniversary event, Eczacıbaşı Peron Women's Volleyball Team's media day was held before the new season.

At the organization where the players and technical team of the orange-whites came together with members of the media, President Faruk Eczacıbaşı, head coach Giulio Cesare Bregoli and captain Simge Aköz made statements.

President Eczacıbaşı stated that he is sure that they will have a very successful season.

Emphasizing that they will be a team that competes on the field, head coach Bregoli said, "You will see a team that has a high desire to win and fights at all times. Our goal is definitely to win."

Simge Aköz stated that she was proud to be the captain of the Eczacıbaşı Women's Volleyball Team.

Eczacıbaşı Peron will compete in the Champions Cup, Cup Volley, Sultans League, CEV Champions League and World Club Championship in the 2026-2027 season.
