Yavuz Selim Street in Erenler district turned into a lake after the heavy rain. Water accumulated in some streets on the street and entered the houses. Citizens whose homes were flooded tried to drain the water with buckets and various equipment. While it was learned that more than one house in the region was under water, SASKİ teams and citizens struggled with the negativities caused by the rain.

On the other hand, Sakarya Metropolitan Municipality convened at the Disaster Coordination Center (AKOM) with the code 'Emergency' due to the heavy rain that increased its impact throughout the city. In the statement made by the Metropolitan Municipality, it was stated that the rainfall was at an unprecedented intensity in the last 10 years and approximately 100 kilograms of rainfall fell per square meter. While the latest situation in the districts where the rain was effective was evaluated at the meeting, the work and coordination of the teams in the field were discussed. It was reported that the Metropolitan Municipality teams were on the field from the first moment it started to rain. All units were instructed to continue their work in coordination in order to avoid any disruption in transportation, to take necessary precautions against floods and floods, and to prevent citizens from suffering.

It was reported that the work of the Technical Works, Road Maintenance, Fire Brigade, Police, Transportation and SASKİ teams in the field was followed instantly. It was noted that the notifications and points requiring intervention were evaluated through AKOM, and the teams would continue their work in the field throughout the night for the safety of the citizens and the city.
