Armed attack on a coffee shop in Çağlayan District, one person died

The incident took place in the evening hours in Çağlayan District of the district. A gunman opened fire at the coffeehouse in the neighborhood. While the attacker fled the scene, health and many police teams were dispatched to the address upon notice.

Mehmet Atlı (71), M.Y. were killed in the attack. (49), R.D. (25), N.Y. (53) and O.T. (24) were injured. It was determined that Atlı had lost his life upon check-up by the medical teams who arrived at the scene. The injured were taken to the hospital after the first intervention of the medical teams at the scene.

Police teams took precautions around the coffeehouse and launched an investigation into the attack. Efforts are continuing to capture the escaped suspect.
