Participants of the CSTO exercises arrived in the Chelyabinsk region

Participants in the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) exercises, which will take place at the Chebarkulsky training ground in the Chelyabinsk region, arrived in Russia from four countries. RIA Novosti reports this with reference to the press service of the CSTO Joint Headquarters.

It is clarified that military personnel from Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan came to the Russian Federation to participate in a command post exercise with the collective rapid reaction forces of the CSTO “Interaction-2026”, special exercises “Search-2026” and “Echelon-2026”.

In the first case, issues of preparing and conducting a joint operation to localize a border armed conflict will be worked out, in the second - those related to the organization and conduct of reconnaissance in the interests of the CSTO forces, and in the third - issues related to the organization of logistics.

“All ongoing exercises are planned, are not directed against third countries and are aimed at improving the coherence of command and control bodies and troops, as well as maintaining the readiness of formations of forces and means to carry out tasks as intended in the interests of ensuring collective security,” Colonel-General Andrei Serdyukov, Chief of the CSTO Joint Staff, was quoted as saying at the headquarters.
