The PP demands the resignation of Marlaska after a police report on the massive entry of migrants in Ceuta

The general secretary of the PP, Miguel Tellado, criticized this Wednesday that the Minister of the Interior, Fernando Grande-Marlaska, acted "surprised" with the report from the National Police that "warned" of the massive entry of more than 72,000 irregular migrants in Ceuta at the end of July. In his opinion, the minister should resign for being "a servant, incompetent and a liar."

Marlaska has demanded that the Director General of the Police, Francisco Pardo, verify "as soon as possible" that report - published by El Español - in which the assault on Ceuta on July 30 and 31 is attributed to the Moroccan Security Forces and Corps.

"Today Marlaska pretends to be surprised by a Police report that warned of the invasion of Ceuta. He denied it for a month and it has become evident," said Tellado in a message in 'X', which Europa Press has collected.

The 'number two' of the PP has indicated that the minister "cannot be one more minute" at the head of the State Security Forces and Bodies. "Marlaska must resign as a scoundrel, incompetent and liar," he stated.

The spokesperson for the Popular Group in Congress, Ester Muñoz, has expressed herself in similar terms, who sees what that report includes as "very serious." In his opinion, it shows that the President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, has been "lying publicly to protect the country that guided the invasion" of Spain.

Muñoz considers that it is now more urgent to attend the rallies that the Spanish Federation of Municipalities and Provinces (FEMP) has called today at 8:00 p.m. in support of Ceuta, since, as he said, this Police report explains that the Sánchez Government "knew it" and "they maliciously decided not to do anything." "Today the National Police tells us that this was not a migration crisis but rather a security crisis," he added.
