Emma Bonino leaves intensive care: transfer to a private facility scheduled for tomorrow

Emma Bonino's condition remains "stable but delicate", still hospitalized at the Santo Spirito hospital in Rome. Hospitalized on Monday for a respiratory crisis

Emma Bonino, 78 years old, was taken by ambulance to the emergency room of the Roman hospital on Monday afternoon due to a respiratory crisis. Around 8pm the doctors decided to transfer her to intensive care to monitor her parameters. Bonino had been admitted to the same hospital, again in intensive care, already in November 2025. Subsequently transferred to the Stroke Unit of San Filippo Neri, she was discharged after about a week. Doctors had ruled out a recurrence of the lung cancer that she had been diagnosed with in 2015.
