Enem 2026: students talk about dreams and preparation on the 1st day of the test in Maceió

Among the candidates were young people trying out for a position for the first time and others who had accumulated years of preparation to achieve the desired course.

This is the case of Daisy Luane, who has already completed high school and is trying, for the third year in a row, to get a place on the Medicine course.

Despite previous attempts, she said that she arrived at the test more confident and calm, as a result of the experience gained throughout her studies.

"It's a search for a dream of practicing medicine and contributing to people's health in the future," he said.

According to Daisy, this year's preparation was different from previous ones. The accumulated knowledge and familiarity with the exam helped to reduce anxiety.

"It was a little different, I've already been studying, so I had greater peace of mind when it came to content and I also feel a little calmer today compared to other years", he stated.

The student also highlighted the support from her family and teachers during the three years of preparation.

For her, approval represents not only a personal achievement, but also the opportunity to repay the dedication of those who followed her path.

Beside her, her mother, Luciene Duarte, was unable to hide her emotion when talking about her daughter's efforts.

According to Luciene, the study routine is part of the young woman's daily life, as she remains focused on her goal of entering university.

"She's always studying, focused. [...] She's really studious, she deserves it," said her mother, moved.

Inspiration to pursue a career as a teacher

For Yasmim Beatriz, 17, who is completing her third year of high school, Enem represents the opportunity to take the first step towards a career in Biological Sciences.

The choice of course was influenced by a teacher who marked his school career.

The story has a special meaning for the mother, Renata de Oliveira, who is also a teacher and works in the management of a school.

"Actually, a lot of people don't want to be teachers. But she decided to do biological sciences because of a teacher who inspired her", said Renata.

The mother also revealed that the teacher responsible for awakening Yasmim's interest in the area was her student.

For Renata, who has worked in the state education network for 24 years, following her daughter's career choice is a source of emotion and pride.

Yasmim's preparation was marked by simulations, school activities and writing exercises.

According to Renata, the work developed throughout high school was essential for her daughter to arrive prepared for the exam.

In addition to accompanying Yasmim, the teacher also left a message of encouragement for the other students at the school, advising young people to remain calm and confident during the test.

"I told her that everything I achieved was in a decent way, as a teacher. And if that is her wish, I fully support it, 100%," he said.

First day of Enem 2026

This Sunday (8), candidates answered 90 questions on Languages and Human Sciences, in addition to producing an essay.

The gates of the application sites opened at 12 pm and closed at 1 pm, Brasília time. The tests started at 1:30 pm and ended at 7:00 pm.

The second day of Enem will be held next Sunday (15), with questions from Mathematics and Natural Sciences.
