Minister of Energy and TEKNOFEST President Attended the Nuclear Energy Competition Final in Istanbul

Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Alparslan Bayraktar and TEKNOFEST Chairman of the Board of Directors Selçuk Bayraktar participated in the "TEKNOFEST 2026 Nuclear Energy Technologies Design Competition Final" in Istanbul. The 4 teams that qualified for the competition in the final at the Turkish Energy, Nuclear and Mining Research Institute (TENMAK) Nuclear Energy Research Institute campus in Küçükçekmece, presented the nuclear energy projects they developed to the juries. The final presentations were Then, Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Alparslan Bayraktar and TEKNOFEST Chairman of the Board of Directors Selçuk Bayraktar answered the questions of the students.

'OUR TR-2 RESEARCH REACTOR HAS BEEN RESLICENSED'

Speaking before the program, Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Alparslan Bayraktar said, "We have completed the zoning processes with a name for this place. More importantly, our TR-2 Research Reactor has been re-licensed, after a very long time. In a very short time, nuclear research and material tests will be carried out here again. "We will have the chance to see the results of the things we work on theoretically in the laboratory and research facilities," he said.

TEKNOFEST Chairman of the Board of Directors, Selçuk Bayraktar, said, "I was really proud to be a partner in an important competition as a stakeholder and organizer. I was really proud while visiting the tents, listening to the presentations of our civilization and geography of our hearts to our brothers and sisters coming from there, and of course, listening to the projects of our universities in Turkey. As the son of an engineer, as your brother engineer, the greatest work we can leave behind is to remove the obstacles in front of the generations who will carry out such work that will pave the way for our country and civilization. It will leave a state of mind that knows no obstacles and will not allow obstacles on their horizons, on their dream horizons. "In this sense, TEKNOFEST, thank God, has been a great revolution in self-confidence," he said.
