Access to 2 Thousand 34 Social Media Accounts Has Been Blocked in the Last 2 Months

Director of Communications Burhanettin Duran, in his post on his NSosyal account, stated that the comprehensive digital monitoring, technical analysis and inter-institutional coordination studies carried out under the coordination of the Presidency's Directorate of Communications continue uninterruptedly and in coordination with all relevant institutions.

Burhanettin Duran emphasized that Türkiye resolutely continues its fight against terrorist propaganda, provocation, disinformation and psychological operation attempts carried out through digital channels by mobilizing all the means and capabilities of the state.

Duran stated that, in this context, in the last two months, under the coordination of the Presidency's Directorate of Communications, the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office and the General Directorate of Security, Department of Combating Cyber Crimes have been working together:

"Access blocking measures were immediately implemented for 699 social media accounts that were determined to be linked to terrorist and criminal organizations targeting our national security and social unity, especially those affiliated with FETO. In addition, through comprehensive technical investigations and digital network analyses, necessary legal and administrative proceedings were taken in coordination with our relevant institutions, especially our ministries of Justice and Internal Affairs, against 1335 social media accounts that were determined to produce provocations, target our brotherhood and social peace, spread disinformation and carry out psychological operation activities against our country."
