Lamine Yamal was in charge of putting the Spanish team ahead after taking advantage of a mistake by Guéhi when the ball was released. The Barça winger stole the ball and was left alone against Trafford, who he beat with a shot placed against the post. Ferran Torres was able to extend the advantage with two one-on-ones against the English goalkeeper, but the first one hit the goalkeeper's leg and the second sent him out with a cross kick. England were barely creating danger, but on a counterattack they managed to equalize the match. This is La Roja's first game after winning the World Cup this summer. The team led by Luis de la Fuente travels to London with a squad almost identical to the one that managed to win the World Cup except for four players.
