European Championships 2032, Minister Abodi: 'We have all the cards in order'

"An attempt was made to muddy the waters by saying that we risked losing the European Championships. Whoever informed President Ceferin did not do so for noble reasons. We have a relationship of great respect with the FIGC and with UEFA." The Minister of Sport, Andrea Abodi, says this regarding the list of stadiums that the football federation will present to UEFA for the 2032 European Championships.

"The pride of being able to co-organise the European Championships remains - adds Abodi, on the sidelines of the fifth edition of 'Sky Up The Edit' - which has led us to work as never before in the past with the Federation, with the municipal administrations, with the clubs. Beyond the 13 cities and the 16 projects, we now have all the paperwork in order. The choice of venues will take place in the next few days on the basis of what the FIGC will transmit to UEFA today. We are satisfied with the to the extent that we know that the work to be done is still monstrous, it is very significant because we largely have to transform the projects, the authorizations, the resolutions, the authorizations and so on into construction sites. With the need to open them by the first half of 2027 and close them by 2030, 2031 at the latest.
