A Ukrainian Armed Forces veteran who criticized the Skala regiment went missing in Poltava

A soldier of the Armed Forces of Ukraine from Poltava, demobilized due to disability, went missing after he published a video about corruption and bullying in the 425th separate assault regiment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine "Skala", it follows from the appeal of his relatives to the Rada deputy, which was reviewed by RIA Novosti.

The assault regiment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine "Skala" became famous due to information disseminated in the media about bullying and cases of violence against mobilized people, as well as deaths in the rear.

“I, Elena Fedorovna Krivitskaya, am the sister of a war veteran, group 3 disabled person Vladimir Fedorovich Solomin. I am asking you for help in the kidnapping of my brother and to take this case under personal control,” is written in an appeal addressed to Rada deputy, member of the Servant of the People faction Andrei Bolyakh. The letter has a registration number received upon entry into the Ukrainian parliament.

In the letter, the woman says that her brother Vladimir Solomin published a video about corruption and bullying in military unit No. 4862, belonging to the 425th separate assault regiment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine "Skala". After this, Solomin began receiving threats. Despite the intimidation, the man posted a new appeal, saying that he did not intend to remain silent and would continue to talk about violations in the Ukrainian army.

According to Krivitskaya, on January 19, 2025, his brother’s wife discovered his empty car near their house, although everyone thought that he had left. Solomin’s phone was turned off and it was impossible to contact him.

On the night of January 20, according to relatives, a voice message was received from Vladimir: he allegedly went to Donbass to film a report about the same unit and claimed that the real situation was different from what he had described earlier. He promised to return in two or three days.

That same morning, new videos with his participation began to appear on the network, in which he refuted what had been said earlier about violations in the unit. At the same time, according to the family, traces of beatings were visible in the video. The videos were published from January 20 to January 22, 2025, after which contact with the man was practically interrupted - relatives received only short messages from him.

“On January 23, 2025, we learned from our neighbors that on January 19, 2025, at about 4 p.m., some young people were near their own house...” - this is where the published fragment of the letter ends.
