United Arab Emirates
The United Arab Emirates was an important trading partner of Iran before it announced this week that it was suspending all trade with Iran.
WTO data shows that 30.6% of Iran’s imported goods in 2024 will come from the United Arab Emirates, with a total value of approximately US$21 billion.
According to the Iranian customs authorities, in the 10 months before January 2026, Iran's exports to the United Arab Emirates totaled US$6.4 billion, and its imports from the United Arab Emirates were US$14.81 billion, exceeding China's imports during the same period.
Türkiye
Türkiye is also an important trading partner of Iran.
According to the Iranian customs authorities, in the last 10 months of 2025, Iran imported US$5.6 billion in goods from Turkey; its exports to Turkey reached US$7.91 billion, mainly hydrocarbon products.
Russia
Iranian customs authorities stated that in the last 10 months of 2025, Russia imported goods worth $930 million from Iran and exported goods to Iran worth $1.36 billion.
In 2022, Russia exchanged grain, gold and timber for Iranian agricultural products; since then, cooperation between the two parties has continued to expand. The British "Daily Telegraph" reported that the two countries are establishing a new bilateral trade channel on the Caspian Sea.
In July, Ukraine attacked an Iranian merchant ship carrying military supplies in the Caspian Sea, causing dissatisfaction in Tehran.
iraq
In the last 10 months of 2025, Iran's exports to Iraq were US$7.91 billion, while imports were approximately US$450 million.
India
According to the Indian Ministry of Commerce, bilateral trade volume dropped from US$17 billion in 2018 to 2019 to US$1.7 billion in 2024 to 2025.
Since the blockade of the Strait of Hormuz, India has been actively seeking to diversify its energy sources. Data from shipping tracker Kpler shows that India imported about 276,000 barrels of oil per day from Iran in mid-April.

According to data from the German Federal Statistics Office (Destatis), from January to November 2025, Germany exported Iranian goods totaling 870.5 million euros; the import value was 217 million euros.
Sri Lanka
According to data from the Central Bank of Sri Lanka, exports of Iranian goods will be worth US$68 million in 2024, up from US$43 million in the previous year.
Since the United States imposed sanctions on Iranian oil, official imports from Iran have been zero.
Japan
According to the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO), Japan's exports of Iranian goods will increase by 38% in 2024, reaching US$89 million; imports will decrease by 6.4%, to US$29 million.
Export items include pharmaceuticals, automobiles and electrical equipment, while imported goods include textiles and food.
Philippines
Data from the Philippine Statistics Authority show that exports of Iranian goods in 2024 are worth US$66 million, up from US$38 million in the previous year; imports from Iran during the same period were less than US$190,000.
