Governor-elect of North Chungcheong Province meets with Prime Minister and requests support for pending projects

On this day, President-elect Shin attended a luncheon meeting presided over by the Prime Minister held at the Prime Minister's official residence in Samcheong-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul, and made intensive suggestions such as attracting public institutions such as Korea Airports Corporation, reflecting the construction of a new private runway at Cheongju International Airport, and creating a high-tech industrial cluster centered on multi-purpose synchrotron radiation accelerator.

President-elect Shin said, “Chungbuk should not be left out or treated poorly in the process of promoting national balanced development policies,” and added, “I will take the first step with the attitude of a ‘Chungbuk salesman’ who personally visits the government, National Assembly, and companies to explain North Chungcheong’s vision and potential and elicit cooperation.”
