In St. Petersburg, the development of planning projects for the construction of the Circle Line of the metro has been completed

In St. Petersburg, the development of two planning projects with land surveying projects for the construction of the Circle Line of the metro has been completed. This is stated on the city administration website.

Projects commissioned by the Construction Committee are planned to be implemented within the framework of the Master Plan for 2040. The construction of the line will take place in several stages, its total length will be 8.27 kilometers. It is known that the first section will run from the Lesnaya-2 station to the Ploshchad Kalinina station, and will include two stations. The second section will stretch from the Ploshchad Kalinina station to the Ladozhskaya-2 station and will include three stations.

According to the city governor Alexander Beglov, the first two sections will greatly improve transport accessibility of the Kalininsky and Krasnogvardeysky districts, and in the future they will provide convenient communication between existing and new radial metro lines.
