The FAA has suspended flights at three US airports due to communication problems.

The US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has temporarily suspended flights at Philadelphia, Newark and Teterboro airports.

The problems arose due to problems with a number of frequencies in the Philadelphia TRACON control center.

According to the Flightradar24 service, temporary restrictions led to the delay of more than 350 flights at three airports.

“The FAA is suspending flights to Philadelphia, Newark Liberty and Teterboro international airports due to problems with a number of frequencies at the Philadelphia TRACON control center,” the agency said in a response to a request from RIA Novosti.

According to the American aviation regulator, the Philadelphia TRACON center coordinates air traffic during the descent, approach and climb phases within the boundaries of its assigned sector in the northeastern United States.

The department did not specify the expected time frame for eliminating technical problems and resuming normal operation of aircraft.
