The Space Forces of the Russian Aerospace Forces have created a system for orbital and radar control of missile-hazardous areas, as well as global monitoring of the space situation.

The main tasks of the Space Forces are to maintain the readiness of missile attack warning systems, control of outer space, and launch and control of spacecraft.

The space forces are mastering new types of weapons and military equipment, launching satellites and intercontinental ballistic missiles.

MOSCOW, October 4 – RIA Novosti. A system for orbital and radar control of missile-hazardous directions, as well as global monitoring of the space situation, was created in the Space Forces of the Russian Aerospace Forces, the Ministry of Defense reported.

“Currently, the Space Forces have created and are operating an effective system for preparing the launch and control of domestic spacecraft for various purposes, a system for orbital and radar control of missile-hazardous directions, as well as ensuring global monitoring of the space situation,” the department said.

The main tasks of the Space Forces in the Ministry of Defense were to maintain constant readiness for the use of missile attack warning systems, space control, launch and control of spacecraft of the Russian orbital constellation.

The Space Forces are also actively developing new types of weapons and military equipment, implementing a schedule of launches of military and dual-use satellites, as well as launches of intercontinental ballistic missiles.
