The man injured in the fire of a shack in Sant Josep (Ibiza) dies

The 48-year-old man who was critically injured this Sunday in the fire of a shack in the Casa Lola area, in Sant Josep (Ibiza), died after 5:00 p.m. at the Can Misses Hospital.

As a result of the fire, which started around 7:00 a.m., the man, of Paraguayan nationality, suffered burns on 90% of his body, reported by the Civil Guard and the Health Area of ​​Ibiza and Formentera.

After initial assistance, the patient was transferred by the Urgent Medical Care Service (SAMU 061) with a diagnosis of severe burns and was admitted, in critical condition, to the Can Misses Intensive Care Unit (ICU) shortly after 9:00 a.m.

"Nothing could be done despite the efforts of the health personnel," they said from the Pitiusas Health area, an institution that has also conveyed its condolences to the family and relatives of the deceased.
