Olayla ilgili 2 şüphelinin yakalanması için de çalışma başlatıldı. Görgü tanıklarının ifadeleri üzerine olay yerinde bir kişi şüpheli olarak yakalandı. Yapılan incelemelerde yakalanan çocuğun, olaya karışan şüphelilerden olmadığı anlaşıldı.

Daha sonra bölgedeki kamera kayıtlarını inceleyen ve görgü tanıklarının ifadelerini alan ekipler, şüphelilerin bulunması için arama çalışmalarını genişletti. Kısa sürede kimlikleri tespit edilen 2 şüphelinin R.E.Ç. ve E.A. oldukları belirlendi.

Yapılan çalışmaların ardından 2 şüpheli Osman Yozgatlı Mahallesi’nde yakalandı.

Manisa'nın Turgutlu ilçesinde lise yakınında, öğrencilerin okula gittiği sokakta H.O.’nun (15) av tüfeğiyle ateş açması sonucu 3'ü ağır, 11 öğrencinin yaralandığı olaya ilişkin gözaltı sayısı 9'a yükselmişti.

Milli Eğitim Bakanlığı olaya ilişkin 3 müfettiş görevlendirirken, ayrıca okulda eğitime 1 gün ara verilmiş ve Adalet Bakanlığı da olaya ilişkin 2 Cumhuriyet savcısının görevlendirildiğini açıklamıştı.
