New development in the attack on Fenerbahçe bus

The investigation into the armed attack on the bus carrying the Fenerbahçe football team on April 4, 2015 has been completed. In the indictment prepared in the light of new evidence, it was requested that 5 suspects be punished for the crime of attempted intentional murder against 39 people on the bus.

There has been a new development in the attack on the Fenerbahçe bus. The Chief Public Prosecutor's Office announced that the investigation carried out in the light of new evidence was completed and an indictment was issued against 5 suspects.

In addition to the evidence obtained within the scope of the investigation, HTS and base station records, criminal investigations, forensic reports and other findings in the file were evaluated together and an indictment was prepared.

In the indictment, it was evaluated that some of the suspects followed the route of the Fenerbahçe team bus and informed other suspects about the arrival of the bus.

It was stated that the other suspects opened fire with a hunting rifle as the team bus passed.

In the armed attack on April 4, 2015, the bus driver suffered life-threatening injuries. The football players and technical staff members on the bus were also affected by the attack.

While the team bus was in danger of an accident due to the injury of the driver, material damage occurred to the vehicle as a result of the attack.

In the indictment prepared by the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, it was evaluated that the 5 suspects committed the crimes of intentional attempted murder against 39 people on the bus and damage to property against the owner of the bus.

The suspects are detained under Articles 82/1-a, 35, 44/1 and 151/1, pursuant to Article 37 of the Turkish Penal Code. They were requested to be punished in accordance with the articles.
