Flavie Flament reacts to the cancellation of Patrick Bruel's tour and evokes a "turning point"

“We may be really experiencing the French #MeToo.” Guest of the show “C à vous”, on France 5, Saturday September 5, host Flavie Flament reacted to the announcement of the cancellation of Patrick Bruel's tour, whom she accuses, with around thirty other women, of sexual violence.

“I think it’s also a wise decision,” she explained, expressing her “relief.” “We are experiencing a turning point, a big change in our society, because women are speaking, they are finally heard and civil society is outraged,” continued the host, in reference to the mobilization which preceded the cancellation of the singer's tour, indicted in eight cases, notably for rape and attempted rape.

Asked about the support that Patrick Bruel received from actress Mimie Mathy, Flavie Flament expressed her amazement. “I am always absolutely stunned by these women who could be our mothers and who will not have a word for the victims,” she commented, “while they should welcome [these speeches].” And to continue: "These are women who still carry within themselves the weight of yesterday's world. I am stunned to see to what extent we can betray women to this extent by making comments like that."
