Arrested for sexual abuse of a co-worker in a cooperative in Bologna

He is accused of having committed sexual abuse on a work colleague, recently hired in the same cooperative. The man, a 57-year-old, was arrested by the Carabinieri of Castel San Pietro Terme (Bologna), who carried out an order from the investigating judge ordering house arrest.

The measure against the man, with a police record, was requested by the Bologna Prosecutor's Office, which coordinated the investigations. The facts date back to August: the investigations were started during a rescue operation by the military for a woman: the man also threatened to have her fired if she told anyone about the abuse.

Reached by the military, the woman reported that she had been raped by a colleague during a work shift they were doing together. The 'red code' was activated, as envisaged for victims of domestic and gender violence and the victim was accompanied to the emergency room with a protected and confidential medical access path. The investigations carried out led to the identification of the alleged perpetrator who was informed of the situation, arrested and subjected to precautionary measures.
