Picchi (Sace): export target of 700 billion achievable in 2027
Reaching 700 billion in exports "is possible" and the objective will most likely be reached in 2027. This is what the president of Sace, Guglielmo Picchi, said in Cernobbio for the Teha Forum. “Last year we concluded at 643 billion - he stated - I believe that with good growth we are approaching this psychological threshold of 700 billion this year which I believe can be reached during 2027, achieving the legislative objective that this government has set itself”. Italian exports in the first half of 2026 - underlines Picchi - "have confirmed themselves as a strong point in the growth of the Italian domestic product. We are beyond the expectations that Sace itself had predicted. We expect that, despite everything that happens around the world, a result in line with that of last year, which is therefore a progress of 2-3% growth over the course of the whole year, which considering the wars, I believe could be a great result for Italy". Pichetto: we are in line with the plan of 131 Gw renewables by 2030

The minister specifies that "today we consume 320 TWh of energy and in 2050 we will consume 150 more". “We cannot imagine the future with a country that only uses fossil fuels and renewables - he argues - which are not programmable, we must think about batteries and storage, but in the long term we absolutely must integrate our energy production with new nuclear power”. “Within the month - he indicates - we will have the enabling law and by the end of the year the implementing decrees to have a legal framework to bring nuclear production back to our country”. “Nuclear - he concludes - must be built with reactors that we cannot dream of before 2032, 2033 and 2034”.

The work of the Meloni Government has been promoted after almost four years of activity, while the opinion of the audience of over 200 entrepreneurs and managers on the opposition parties has become heavier. This is what emerges from the electronic survey conducted on the occasion of the 52nd edition of the Forum organized by Teha Group, The European House – Ambrosetti at Villa D'Este, Cernobbio. Invited to evaluate the work of the Meloni Government on a scale from 1 (very negatively) to 9 (very positively), over two thirds of the companies (68.3%) express a positive opinion (scores from 6 to 9). In detail, the most frequent rating is 7 with 33.3% of the preferences, followed by the rating 8 chosen by 20.0% of respondents and the maximum score 9 (very positively) equal to 6.7%. 8.3% of the sample gave a grade of 6. The rating of 5 stands at 10.0%, while the negative ratings (ratings from 1 to 4) stop at 21.7% overall. The opposite picture concerns the opposition parties, whose work is judged negatively (votes from 1 to 4) by 83.0% of those interviewed, an increase of ten percentage points compared to the 73.0% recorded in 2025. In detail, the share of those who assign the minimum vote of 1 (very negatively) doubles, reaching 23.7% (compared to 11.9% in 2025); vote 2 collected 18.6% (from 15.3%), vote 3 stood at 25.4% (from 28.8%) and vote 4 at 15.3% (from 17.0%). Score 5 drops to 10.2% (from 13.6% in 2025), while the overall positive opinions (scores from 6 to 9) are halved to 6.8% from 13.6% last year: grade 6 records 3.4% (from 8.5%), grade 7 1.7% (unchanged), grade 8 0% (unchanged) and the maximum score 9 (very positively) 1.7% (from 3.4% in 2025).
Schlein: proposal presented to use 14 billion of EU flexibility on energy
«The picture doesn't add up: in Italy we have a decline in production, zero growth despite the Pnrr, the cost of energy is among the highest in Europe. We need to get this country moving again." Thus Elly Schlein, secretary of the Democratic Party, in her speech at the Teha Forum in Cernobbio.
