Photos obtained by the reporting team show two weapons and four magazines seized in the room where teacher Aline Bugni, 31, was found dead last Sunday (27), in Cajamar, in Greater São Paulo. In the images, it is also possible to see a projectile on the bed and a gunshot mark on the wall.
Her husband, criminal police officer Felipe Bugni, aged 40, is being investigated on suspicion of feminicide. He claims that his wife committed suicide, but the main hypothesis of the Civil Police, which registered the case as a suspicious death, is murder. The couple's 6-year-old daughter was also in the home at the time of the shooting.
Felipe is preventively detained by court order for having attacked Aline's father and brother and for psychological violence against the woman.
According to police officers, the shot that hit the wall occurred accidentally during the procedure to decommission one of the weapons, carried out by one of the agents. The projectile remained on the bed. The dynamics of the shot that killed Aline are still being investigated by the Technical-Scientific Police.
The weapons were found by the Military Police (PM), who responded to the incident, under the bed.
Another image, taken after rescuers arrived, shows Aline lying on the ground, with both hands empty and no weapon nearby.
Felipe told the police that Aline used one of his weapons to take her own life. He stated that he was in another room when he heard the shot and found the woman lying and bloody.
The police carried out residue examinations on the hands of Aline and Felipe. The weapons were seized and sent for forensic examination, and the body was taken to the Legal Medical Institute (IML) for autopsy.
At the police station, according to the incident report, Felipe remained silent about the death. He denied psychological violence against the woman and stated that the couple's relationship was good.
The couple's daughter told health professionals that she was in the room when her parents argued. After the shot, he saw his mother lying on the floor. The girl then called her grandfather, who lives on the floor below the house, and said that her "mother died".
Hours before her death, Aline's father, José dos Santos, aged 65, had called the Municipal Civil Guard (GCM). According to the report made to the police, Felipe had used pepper spray against the door and window of his father-in-law's house. The agents went to the scene, spoke with the criminal police officer and then left.
After that, the shooting occurred. José and Tiago Santos, Aline's brother, said they were punched by Felipe when they entered the house. The Military Police (PM), who had been called to respond to the incident, detained the criminal police officer for aggression and threat.
The family claims that Aline wanted to separate from Felipe and denies that she intended to take her own life.
The reporting team is trying to contact Felipe's defense team to comment on the matter.
This is at least the third case of suspected femicide in 2026 involving state security agents that has been reported in the press.
