[Video] Korea-U.S. FTX assuming all-out war… Firefighting/air defense guided weapon shooting training

(Seoul = Yonhap News) The Army Ground Operations Command (Jijaksa) conducted the 'Combined Ground Force Component Command Counterpower Warfare Outdoor Mobile Exercise (FTX)' from the 19th to the 23rd in connection with the 2026 Patriotic Training.

Jijaksa also serves as the 'Combined Ground Force Component Command' (Yeonjigusa), a joint ROK-US unit that commands and controls joint operations of the ROK Armed Forces and USFK ground forces. About 4,100 ROK-US soldiers from Yeonjigusa participated in this training.

In this exercise, the Yeonjigusa TF unit, which consists of intelligence and firepower units from the ROK and the U.S., mastered position occupation and procedures for each operational stage, assuming an all-out war situation on the Korean Peninsula.

In addition, we verified a series of operational execution systems that link TF assets to acquire and detect targets and then strike them.

At the Boryeong Training Center in South Chungcheong Province, 'air defense guided weapon anti-aircraft fire' was also conducted in conjunction with the patriotic training.
