Füchse Berlin narrowly miss the Super Globe final against Veszprém HC

The Füchse Berlin almost missed the final of the Super Globes. The handball Bundesliga team lost the top game at the gates of Cairo against the Hungarian star ensemble of Veszprém HC 33:34 (19:16) despite a temporary five-goal lead. In the last group game on Tuesday against the hosts Al-Ahly, it should only be about reaching the game for third place. The best Berlin thrower was Mathias Gidsel with nine goals.

The Foxes initially had difficulty finding their way into the game offensively. They hardly found any gaps and had to wait almost six and a half minutes for their first goal. Thanks to Ludwig - who saved four seven-meter throws - the Berliners remained just ahead. But in the final phase the Foxes missed too many chances. Six seconds before the end they conceded the decisive goal through Nedim Remili.
