Five dead in plane collision at Miami airport

All five people who died in the Amazon cargo plane accident at Miami Airport were sitting in a car that the jet collided with. The local sheriff's office confirmed this. The van with a total of seven occupants belonged to a cleaning company that works for airlines. Those who died were between 47 and 75 years old.

On Sunday afternoon (local time) the plane overshot the runway at Miami Airport in the US state of Florida and collided with two vehicles. Five people died and five others were injured. The cause of the accident is still unclear. The plane had taken off from Puerto Rico.

The airport in Miami temporarily suspended air traffic after the accident. Florida is very popular with tourists. At the weekend, many Americans were traveling due to a holiday on Monday. Miami is one of the largest commercial airports in the USA.
