Fuvest 2027: USP entrance exam applies test to 3,800 students in Piracicaba and Limeira

Fuvest applies this Sunday (1st) the 2027 entrance exam at the University of São Paulo (USP) to 3,817 students from Piracicaba (SP) and Limeira (SP).

In total, the selection process offers 8,147 places in undergraduate courses.

In Piracicaba, there are two test sites. Together, they are expected to receive 2,615 applicants. At the only location in Limeira, 1,202 students are expected.

Evidence

The entrance exam will be held in two phases. The first stage is scheduled for November 1st and will have 80 objective questions.

Candidates approved in this phase proceed to the second stage, which will be applied on December 6th and 7th. On the first day, students will have to write an essay and answer 10 Portuguese language discursive questions. In the second, 12 discursive questions from specific disciplines will be applied, according to the chosen career.

The tests will be held in cities in the state of São Paulo and also in Fortaleza (CE).

Fuvest carried out the two stages of the Simulation in Fortaleza, which allowed testing the operation and structure necessary to carry out the test in the city. Taking place in the city seeks to facilitate access to candidates from the Northeast.

Vacancies and quotas

Of the 8,147 vacancies offered by USP:

4,888 are intended for broad competition;

2,053 are reserved for candidates who completed high school entirely in public schools;

1,206 are intended for public school students who also compete for affirmative actions for black, brown and indigenous people.

In total, half of the entrance exam places are reserved for students who completed high school in public schools.

Mandatory books

The Fuvest 2027 list of mandatory readings brings together nine works written by women, from different periods and nationalities. The books include classics of Brazilian and Portuguese literature and works by contemporary writers.

The selection brings together Brazilian, Portuguese, Mozambican and Angolan authors, expanding the presence of different perspectives and literary traditions in the competition.
