Man and woman are killed and six are injured in a shooting attack at a beverage distributor in Cariacica

A man and a woman were killed in a shooting attack in front of a drinks distributor in Cariacica, in Greater Vitória, on Saturday night (31). The victims were identified as Rafael Bahia Teixeira, 24 years old, and Magna Procópio, 32 years old.

Six other people were also injured, four women and two men. They are aged 33, 26, 44 and 15. The injured men are 37 and 39 years old. They had various injuries, including their shoulders, knees, feet and the back of their heads.

The attack took place on Rua Agenor Vasconcelos, in the São Francisco neighborhood, close to the Cristo Rei Orphanage, when men came out shooting from a car that stopped on the street.

A security camera recorded the attack, which occurred at around 7:52 pm. In the images, it is possible to see the group gathered on the street when a silver car passes by. The suspects disembark and shoot at the victims, who try to run, but are hit. After the shots, they get back into the vehicle and leave the place.

The target of the shots would be Rafael Bahia Teixeira, known as Perninha.

A relative of Magna, who preferred to remain anonymous, said that she had gone to the distributor to buy beer and charcoal for a barbecue with her husband. He described her as an outgoing, hard-working woman with no involvement in criminal activities.

"The whole family is devastated. Unfortunately, this happened to her. She did not deserve to have suffered such a terrible death, the way it was. We hope that the authorities will take charge of the case, investigate and give us a position. We wait for justice."

Their last meeting had been on Monday (26), when he and his wife went to Magna's house. On the night of the crime, the family member had just arrived from work when he received the news from his wife, who found out about the attack on social media. He also watched the security camera footage.

"Scary. She didn't deserve to die like that," he said.

According to him, Magna leaves two children, who did not live with her. "She loved those two children very much. May justice be done, may the culprits pay and may they not go unpunished", she asked.

The suspects were believed to be from Viana and were aboard a Renault Sandero. The bodies were taken to the IML in Vitória. The injured were rescued and taken to hospitals in Greater Vitória.
