A new era in social aid with GETAD: It will come into effect in 2027

Impact analyzes carried out in cooperation with the Ministry of Family and Social Services and the Presidency's Strategy and Budget Directorate will be completed by the end of October. Following the analysis, the scope and type of social support to be provided to families whose income level is below a certain limit will be determined on a provincial and district basis.

DETAILS BECOME CLEAR AT GETAD

Within the scope of the project, not every family will receive the same type of social assistance with GETAD. Support will be shaped according to needs on a provincial and district basis.

For example, the needs profile of a family living in Antalya and the needs of a household living in Hakkari will be evaluated differently. Therefore it supports; It will be provided in cash and in kind in different items such as rent, heating, food or energy aid.

THOSE WHO RECEIVE THE LOWEST RETIREMENT SALARY ARE ALSO IN THE COVERAGE

The GETAD system aims to make the social assistance mechanism family-oriented and inclusive. The system is designed to guarantee minimum income per person.

In this context, those with the lowest pension, low-income families and households below a certain income level will be able to benefit from the support.

IT WILL BE IMPLEMENTED IN 2027

GETAD's 2027 budget will be clarified after the completion of the 2027 budget negotiations in the Turkish Grand National Assembly. If deemed necessary, legal regulations will be made and the system will be implemented by 2027.

The economic management considers GETAD as a structural reform in the field of social assistance.

WHAT WILL BE THE PAYMENT AMOUNT?

The amount of payments to be made to households through GETAD has not yet been clarified. According to the news in Ekonomim, the system aims to protect families below a certain income level and make the social assistance mechanism family-oriented.
