Key Party Chairman Yavuz Ağıralioğlu visited Re-Welfare Party Chairman Fatih Erbakan at the Re-Welfare Party Headquarters.
Key Party's visiting team included Chairman Yavuz Ağıralioğlu, Head of Legal Policies Oğuz Sadık Aydos, Head of Culture, Art and Tourism Policies Hakan Tanrıöver and Head of Environment, Urbanization, Disaster and Water Policies Emine Küçükali. Re-Welfare Party's reception delegation included Re-Welfare Party Chairman Fatih Erbakan, Political Affairs Chairman Suat Kılıç, Promotion and Media Chairman Fatih Müjdeci, and NGO Deputy Chairman Bilal Yıldırım.
The meeting between the delegations lasted about an hour. After the meeting, Ağıralioğlu and Erbakan appeared in front of the cameras and made a statement.
"MUTUAL NEGOTIATIONS WERE HELD"
Expressing his gratitude to the Key Party delegation for the visit, Erbakan said:
"They paid a return visit today, in response to our previous visit to the Key Party. I express that we are happy and grateful for this. During this visit, the situation that Türkiye is in in general, the problems experienced by 86 million of our nation, the moral and material problems, what our parties can do about these, and what kind of a solution can be put forward were discussed. In addition, of course, also expressed as the framework law, also expressed as the Terror-Free Turkey process. Developments regarding the process were mutually discussed. An exchange of ideas was held regarding the attitudes of our parties on this issue. There were discussions on the future and course of the process. Some ideas were exchanged on what kind of work this might be like on the part of the government if there is a new constitution work outside this framework law, and what developments might occur if the elections are held with a new constitution and a new election system. And some ideas were exchanged on what both parties could do together for the country, for the nation, for our state. "There were exchanges and negotiations. In our opinion, it was an extremely productive meeting. I hope that this visit and this meeting will be beneficial for our country, our parties and our nation."
"IF THE ELECTION IS TO BE HELD, IT SHOULD BE BY THE FALL OF 2027 AT THE LATEST"
Chairman chairmen answered journalists' questions after their statements. When asked about early elections and developments in the fund market, Erbakan said:
"As Mr. Chairman stated, if the elections are held on time, even if they are held at the normal time, there is only a very short time left and Turkey has really entered the election atmosphere. Here, in our opinion, if an early election is to be held, it should be in the autumn of 2027 at the latest. Otherwise, we are of the opinion that an election to be held after this date, one month before the normal time, is not appropriate, even if it is an early election; that is, it will be an election held only for the candidacy of the Mr. President once again. However, of course, we are always concerned about the Constitutional amendment. What we say is that constitutions are not made for individuals, but for nations. We always say that if there will be a change that includes steps to ensure that Mr. President is a candidate once again or that he is elected once again in line with the situation they are in, a more democratic, more modern constitution that will benefit the nation, the country and the society; turning the current system into a more democratized presidential system, strengthening the separation of powers, We stated that we would give our support if steps such as strengthening the constitution were taken. Otherwise, we stated that there would not be a constitution that would be made only for individuals and with calculations aimed at making the current government win the elections more easily, and that the constitution should be made for the nation.
"IN OUR VIEW, A VERY BIG FRAUD HAS BEEN PERFORMED"
As in our previous statement, in our opinion, a huge fraud has been committed. Here, we are talking about a lost money of 20 billion dollars, that is, 900 billion liras, as a result of some funds being inflated with various speculations, even though they were actually empty, and these funds increasing steadily for a long time, I mean in appearance, with a 10 percent increase in value per day, and then, of course, investors finding themselves attractive and entering into these funds, and then the natural collapse of these empty, speculatively raised funds. And of course, when we include the decrease in the value of the stock market due to this event and the loss of value, we are talking about a loss of 50-60 billion dollars. The loss of 20 billion dollars of funds and around 500 thousand investors were directly affected by the loss of money. More than 1 million investors were affected by the total loss of value in the stock market. The question here is: Didn't the institutions and officials and bureaucracy at CMB and Borsa Istanbul see this? It is impossible not to see.
