Director of Nong Huyen Company was accused of bribing 10 million VND/month to illegally transport forest products

Dak Lak Nguyen Thi Nga Huyen is accused of spending 10 million VND per month on forest protection officers so that illegal forest products can be transported through checkpoints and stations to warehouses.

On September 7, Ms. Huyen, 49 years old, Director of Nong Huyen TMV Co., Ltd., was prosecuted by Dak Lak Provincial Police for bribery and violating regulations on exploitation and protection of forests and forest products.

Regarding the case, Nguyen Viet Truong, 37 years old, Deputy Head of School in charge of School 1, Chu Pha Forestry Company Limited, and 8 forest protection officers were prosecuted for accepting bribes.

10 million VND per month to bring forest products through the checkpoint

Previously, on April 16, the Economic Police Department inspected Nong Huyen Company in Ea H'leo commune, discovering 195 m3 of all kinds of wood and more than 3,500 ster of firewood without invoices or documents proving the origin.

Ms. Huyen declared that the forest products were purchased from liquidation sources of State agencies and mainly from people who exploited them in natural forests or planted gardens, then brought them to process wood chips to sell for profit.

The investigation results determined that among these, more than 148 m3 of wood belongs to common forest plants and more than 19 m3 belongs to the List of endangered, precious and rare forest plants group IIA without records showing the origin.

Expanding the investigation, the police determined that in order for illegal forest products to pass through checkpoints and stations and be transported to the warehouse, Ms. Huyen had "regularly spent" 10 million VND per month on officers of Division 1 of Chu Pha Forestry Company Limited.

According to the investigation agency, the school division leader assigned Le Van Hoang, 34 years old, a forest protection management employee, to directly contact the female director to urge monthly money transfers through many intermediary accounts.

From January 2025 to April 2026, the police initially clarified 16 transactions with a total amount of more than 160 million VND. This amount is then divided equally among the School Division 1 staff.

Authorities are expanding their investigation of the case.
