Go Up Entertainment spent R$10,000 on a wig and R$732,000 on hosting Jim Caviezel for a film about Bolsonaro

Go Up Entertainment, producer of "Dark Horse", a film about Jair Bolsonaro, spent R$10,000 on renting a wig for Jim Caviezel, the former president's interpreter, and had at least R$732,000 in accommodation expenses for him, his agent and security guards at the Unique hotel, in São Paulo.

The amounts appear in bank receipts and invoices presented by the company's defense and its legal representative, Karina Ferreira da Gama, to the PF (Federal Police). The material is part of the documentation of the investigation that investigates the financing of the film in the context of the Banco Master case.

Minister André Mendonça, of the STF (Supreme Federal Court), removed the confidentiality of the investigation into the film on Friday (11), by expanding the disclosure of the Master case processes. The opening began the day before, after determination by the president of the court, Edson Fachin. The PGR (Attorney General's Office) had requested that all investigations into the case be made public.

The transfer for the wig was made on December 5, 2025. The receipt identifies Go Up as the payer and bears the description “Licação Peruca Jim”.

Six invoices from Unique total R$663,165.50 and identify James Patrick Caviezel, the actor's full name, Nathon Lewis, his agent, and Richard Dobrich. Two other notes, totaling R$68,835.60, refer to the accommodation of Keith Billiot, identified in the receipts as Jim's security guard.

The documentation also records a transfer of R$298,350.49 to the hotel, made on December 30, 2025, under the description "Accommodation + tips and massages Jim". No invoice corresponding to this payment was found, nor was there a breakdown of how much was allocated to each service. The documents consulted do not clarify the relationship between this payment and the values ​​in the invoices.

An invoice also records R$54,332.46 for the Caviezel ticket, including fare, boarding tax and extras. The document indicates the period from November 1st to December 8th, 2025. This amount does not include the total paid to the hotel.

Four expenses with manicures totaled R$2,045, in care for actresses Lynn Collins and Camille Guaty. It was R$995 for Collins and R$1,050 for Guaty, who plays Michelle Bolsonaro.

Go Up also paid R$3,000 to rent a set of hairpieces for Michelle's character. Another R$5,500 was allocated, together, to a wig for a stunt double and a dreadlock kit for another character. The contract does not state separate prices for the two items.

The proof is part of the same documentary submission of the defense to the PF, made on September 4th. The submission responded to a letter in which the PF requested documents to clarify the film's finances. The request included the origin of resources, contracts with foreign professionals, including Caviezel and director Cyrus Nowrasteh, and proof of expenses with suppliers, transportation, rentals and accommodation.

Karina forwarded the letter to producer Michael Davis, who presents himself as the majority shareholder of Go Up Entertainment LLC, in the United States, and asked for support in preparing the response to the PF.

Davis responded on the same day that, on the advice of his lawyers, he did not authorize the sending of company documents held in the USA to the Brazilian authorities. He stated that requests should follow diplomatic and international legal cooperation channels and that delivery would depend on an order from an American judge.

Directed by Nowrasteh, "Dark Horse" portrays Bolsonaro during the 2018 presidential campaign and the stabbing episode in Juiz de Fora (MG). The story originates from a text by federal deputy Mario Frias (PL-SP), called "Capitão do Povo". Part of the filming took place in São Paulo. Caviezel became known for playing Jesus in Mel Gibson's "The Passion of the Christ", more recently for his role in "The Sound of Freedom".

The financing entered the Master investigation after negotiations between senator Flávio Bolsonaro (PL), candidate for President, with the then banker Daniel Vorcaro. According to PF documents reported by Folha, Flávio was Vorcaro's direct interlocutor for investments, and Eduardo Bolsonaro worked in resource management. The police are investigating the suspicion that part of the money paid for Eduardo's expenses in the United States. Flávio and Eduardo deny irregularities.

In June, Go Up's defense stated that the production had been financed with private resources. A report commissioned by its lawyers, reported by Folha that month, declared a cost of US$13.4 million and stated that it had not identified public money in the documents examined. The conclusion of the private expert was limited to the material presented for analysis.
