Piauí police arrest drug suspect after one year of monitoring

To g1, delegate Ayslan Magalhães detailed that the suspect, identified by the initials A.M.F.S., had been monitored for around a year and caught the attention of the police after displaying purchases, such as a car.

The investigation also points out that he was linked to a man known as “XJ”, who died a few months ago in a case that was related to a debt linked to drug trafficking. The suspect, according to the police, began to occupy a more prominent position in the distribution of narcotics after the death of “XJ”.

According to the Piauí Civil Police, in addition to the drugs, precision scales, cell phones, a car and a motorcycle were seized. Most of the drugs were in a property that, according to the investigation, was used to store, prepare and separate the drugs before distribution.

The man was taken to a police unit, where legal procedures were carried out. The Civil Police reported that investigations continue to identify others involved and clarify how the drug distribution scheme worked.
