這次問題發生在Google Firebase SDK。Firebase 是不少 App 開發者會使用的後端與數據分析工具，不只Android，iOS上也有大量App導入，因此當Google端出現異常時，影響也瞬間擴大。

這次事故是因為Firebase SDK收到「格式錯誤的資料酬載（incorrectly formatted payload）」，導致App在啟動時直接閃退，也因為問題出在Google端，App開發者本身幾乎沒有辦法自行修復，只能等待官方處理。

影響有多誇張？部分開發者回報，自家App短時間內就累積數萬次閃退紀錄，甚至還有更高的案例。也有開發者一開始以為是自己程式寫壞了，急著用AI工具協助除錯，白白消耗大量 AI Token，最後才發現真正問題根本不在自己身上。

Google 也公開這次事件時間軸。問題最早從美國時間 9 月 28 日下午 5 點 41 分開始，換算台灣時間就是 9 月 29 日上午 8 點 41 分；Google 隨後在美國時間晚上 7 點 52 分完成修復部署，也就是台灣時間上午 10 點 52 分左右，前後大約 2 小時。不過，由於快取機制影響，部分 App 在修復部署完成後，最長仍可能繼續閃退約 4 小時。

這也就是說，目前受到影響的 App 理論上都已經恢復正常，而且這次不需要開發者更新 Firebase SDK，用戶也不需要特別更新App。
