The strike by Caixa Econômica Federal employees completes 12 days this Tuesday (22). The category again rejected the proposal presented by the bank.
At the base of the Bank Workers' Union of Mogi das Cruzes and region, only the Salesópolis branch returned to normal service. The other affected units continue to have face-to-face service at a standstill.
The strike command is meeting in São Paulo this Tuesday to discuss the situation and define the movement's next steps. According to the union, the strike began on September 10th.
g1 found that branches in Biritiba-Mirim, Mogi das Cruzes, Poá and Suzano continue to have face-to-face service at a standstill. Customers can use self-service terminals.
🔎 On Monday (21), employees rejected Caixa's latest proposal for the Collective Labor Agreement. In a virtual meeting held by the Bank Workers' Union of São Paulo, Osasco and Region, 59.3% of participants voted against the offer.
Voting took place between 11am and 6pm. After the result, the strike command met to discuss the next steps.

In Alto Tietê, the strike only affects Caixa employees. Banco do Brasil branches operate normally.
Negotiations
According to the union, Caixa Econômica Federal responded, on September 13th, to the letter sent by the National Confederation of Workers in the Financial Branch of CUT (Contraf-CUT) on the 12th. The bank announced the reopening of the Collective Bargaining table with the entities representing employees.
Contraf asked Caixa to resume negotiations, maintain the ultraactivity of collective instruments and guarantee the continuity of rights during negotiations.
With the reopening of negotiations, Caixa also announced the suspension of administrative measures that had been previously announced, according to the union. According to the bank, the suspension is valid as long as negotiations with the representative entities remain ongoing.

The new Collective Labor Agreement (CCT) for bank employees was signed on September 9, in São Paulo, by the National Federation of Banks (Fenaban) and the entities that represent the category.
The Caixa employee strike, however, is related to negotiations on the bank's specific collective agreement.
What the Box says
In a note sent to g1, Caixa informed that it maintains an open dialogue with the entities representing employees and that it returned to the negotiation table with the aim of building an understanding that takes into account the interests of all parties involved.
The bank informed that customers can use digital and remote channels, such as the CAIXA application, Internet Banking, WhatsApp CAIXA, CAIXA Tem and telephone support. ATMs, the Banco24Horas network, lottery outlets and CAIXA Aqui Correspondents are also available.
New banking convention
According to the São Paulo Bank Workers' Union, the renewal of the Collective Labor Convention (CCT) was the result of 13 rounds of negotiations held over more than two months.
The agreement provides for the full replacement of inflation measured by the National Consumer Price Index (INPC), plus a real increase of 0.6% over the next two years. The adjustment will also be applied to other funds, such as food vouchers (VA), meal vouchers (VR), Profit Sharing (PLR) and aid.
In addition to the salary adjustment, the convention provides for measures to prevent mental illness, combat harassment, the right to disconnect after working hours and more transparency in the digital monitoring of workers.
The agreement also provides for the creation of a professional qualification and outplacement program and improvements in compensation paid to private bank workers laid off due to branch closures.
What does Febraban say?
The National Federation of Banks (Febraban) reported that it has represented banks in labor negotiations for 34 years and received, on June 24, the list of demands regarding this year's salary campaign.
According to the entity, negotiations were concluded on September 9, with the signing of a national and unified Collective Labor Agreement, which covers 171 banks and around 414 thousand bank employees in approximately 3.6 thousand municipalities.
The convention was signed by 245 unions representing bank employees and banks.
