Major fire brigade operation at fire in Goldbach

The fire brigade is on a large-scale operation due to a fire near Gotha. In Goldbach, a district of Nessetal (Gotha district), a residential building and the associated garage are on fire, as the Gotha district office announced. Around 150 firefighters and 30 rescue workers are on duty.

The extinguishing work has been going on since the afternoon and two firefighters sustained minor injuries. Because of heavy smoke over the area, residents were warned by a warning message to keep windows and doors closed and to switch off ventilation systems. The entrance to Goldbach was closed.
