High jump star Stefan Holm attacked a journalist at the Book Fair

High jump star Stefan Holm physically attacked journalist Emil Persson in connection with the Book Fair on Saturday.

According to witnesses on the scene, a stranglehold was taken with both hands.

Afterwards, Stefan Holm explained his actions by saying that he was still angry with Emil Persson for a joke about his son in the comedy program Breaking News eight years ago.

Stefan Holm said, after the attack on Emil Persson, that he had not received an apology since then and that "there is therefore a risk that there will be consequences".

But an SMS conversation between the two that Emil Persson shared with SVT Nyheter shows the opposite.

According to Emil Persson, who does not want to comment on the matter further, before the text message was sent, he had called Stefan Holm to apologize and was then scolded.

"Hey again Stefan. My purpose was anyway to apologize so terribly," the text message began with.

"Go to hell!!!!!!", replied Stefan Holm then.
