40-year-old man is arrested for drug trafficking after escaping on an adapted scooter in Sorriso

A 40-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of drug trafficking after trying to escape a police approach on an adapted scooter, on Monday night (7), in Sorriso, 420 km from Cuiabá. The Civil Police reported that after the arrest, the team went to the suspect's house to collect a wheelchair he used, because he had no mobility in his legs.

During the journey, according to police, the man threw a plastic bag. In the packaging, a piece of tablet and seven portions of a substance analogous to marijuana were found, already divided for possible sale, in addition to a portion of a substance analogous to cocaine. In total, approximately 164 grams of marijuana were seized, according to police records.
