Man is shot dead at home in the North Zone of Teresina after intruder poses as a police officer

According to the PM, the police were called around 5am and found Railander already dead. His wife, who was with two children, were also in the residence at the time of the crime.

The woman told the police that she heard the sound of the gate lock being broken in the early hours of the morning. According to the statement, the husband got up to check what was happening when the intruder entered the house, said he was a police officer and fired shots.

According to the wife, she remained in the room with her children until she felt safe to leave. Only later did he find his fallen companion.

After confirming the death, the area was isolated for the work of criminal forensics and the Institute of Legal Medicine (IML).

Until the last update of this report, no suspect had been arrested or located. The case will be investigated by the Department of Homicide and Personal Protection (DHPP).
