Man arrested for loan sharking, threats and possession of weapons

According to the Civil Police, one of the victims went to the police station to report that he had been receiving threats and persistent charges, even after paying an amount greater than double the amount initially contracted.

The person, who was not identified, also said that he resigned from the company where he worked to use the termination to pay the debt, but the incidence of abusive interest prevented the debt from being paid off.

Still according to the police, while the incident was being recorded, civil and military police mounted a joint operation and went to the indicated address. During the action, the suspect again sent messages and a photo of a weapon, reinforcing the intimidation in real time.

The man was located at the property and arrested red-handed. In his room, the agents seized a pistol, a revolver, 150 rounds of ammunition of different calibers, fired cases, projectiles, three pistol magazines, as well as a tactical flashlight, laser sight, rapid ammunition and flame arrester, a device that reduces or eliminates the flash generated at the time of the shot.

The Civil Police also reported that, at the residence, the teams also collected a notebook with notes of names and charge amounts. The suspect already had criminal records for threats and attempted murder.

The person under investigation and the materials were taken to the Paraíba do Sul police station, where the incident was recorded. He remained detained at the disposal of Justice. His identity was not disclosed.
