Man arrested for attempted feminicide and bodily harm after machete attack

Jeferson Barbosa do Amaral Sales was arrested in the act for attempted feminicide and bodily harm. g1 was unable to contact his defense until the last update of this report.

The Military Police were called at around 6:50 am to respond to an incident of domestic violence in a house on Rua Lázaro Rivaldo Orlandi. When they arrived at the scene, the police found Jeferson arguing with his son, who was bleeding from the face.

The attacker's wife had blood marks on her face and cuts on her arms, legs and head, caused by blows from a machete.

The son was taken by Samu to the Emergency Care Unit (UPA) of Cidade Aracy. The woman was rescued by the Fire Department and taken to Santa Casa, where she needed to be intubated due to the severity of her injuries.

At the property, the police found the machete with blood marks in the bathroom. There were traces of the crime scattered throughout the house, garage and sidewalk. Technical expertise was called in and carried out the work on site.

The attacker, identified as , was taken to the Judiciary Police Center (CPJ), where his arrest was confirmed. He remained arrested and at the disposal of Justice.
