Young man is shot in front of a bar in Boa Vista and reports trying to prevent robbery

The Military Police were called to check the occurrence of shots fired in front of a bar. At the scene, a 26-year-old witness reported that he saw the pair driving around the street on a red motorcycle without a license plate.

Then, the suspect who was on the back pulled out a pistol and shot the victim six times. The police found four 9mm bullet casings on the floor and puncture marks on the wall of the establishment.

The victim left the scene on his own before the arrival of the Military Police team. Shortly afterwards, the police received information that the young man had sought medical attention at a hospital in Pintolândia.

At the health unit, contrary to what was initially recorded, the boy told the police that he was in front of his own residence, in the Pérola neighborhood, when he tried to prevent a robbery. He stated that he was unable to identify the suspects, who fled on a motorcycle shortly after the shooting.

According to the emergency room medical team, the shot hit the young man's chest and passed through his body. Despite the injury, the boy was not at risk of death and was transferred to the General Hospital of Roraima (HGR) to continue treatment.
