Minister of Internal Affairs Goes to Kazakhstan for Farmer Security Contacts

Minister of Internal Affairs Mustafa Çiftçi will hold contacts in Kazakhstan to strengthen security cooperation between Turkish States. In Minister Çiftçi's Kazakhstan program, the issues of organized crime organizations, terrorist organizations, irregular migration and the fight against drugs, especially extradition of criminals, will come to the fore. During the contacts, which aim to carry the cooperation developed under the umbrella of the Organization of Turkic States to a further level in the field of security, common struggle topics between Turkey, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan will be discussed. While Turkey's demands and expectations in the field of security will be shared with the Turkish states, the expectations and demands of other countries from Turkey will also be evaluated. Joint cooperation in the fight against the DAESH terrorist organization and FETO, which exploits religion, will be evaluated.

BILATERAL MEETING WITH KAZAKHSTAN

Minister Çiftçi will hold a bilateral meeting with the Kazakhstan side within the scope of his visit to Kazakhstan. In addition to the security cooperation between the two countries, joint steps that can be taken against extradition of criminals, transnational organized crime structures, the fight against terrorist organizations, irregular migration and drug trafficking will be evaluated at the meeting. Cooperation within the scope of the fight against the DAESH terrorist organization, which exploits religion, and joint cooperation in the fight against FETO will be evaluated. During the meeting, where the further development of the existing cooperation between Türkiye and Kazakhstan will be discussed, the mutual demands and expectations of the two countries in the field of security will also be discussed.

COMMON SECURITY AGENDA WITH TURKISH STATES

Minister Çiftçi will also meet with Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan within the scope of his Kazakhstan contacts. The talks will focus on improving security cooperation between Turkish States and increasing the capacity to jointly fight against transnational crimes. The agenda of the five countries will include a wide range of security topics, from extradition of criminals to the fight against organized crime groups, from terrorist organizations to irregular migration and drug trafficking. While Turkey's demands and expectations in these areas will be conveyed to its interlocutors, the opinions and demands of Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan will also be listened to.

SECURITY COOPERATION WILL BE STRENGTHENED IN THE TURKISH WORLD

Türkiye aims to take its strong ties with the Turkish States to a further level in the field of security. With the contacts with Kazakhstan, it is aimed to increase the coordination between countries in the fight against organized crime, terrorism, irregular migration and drugs, and to narrow the movement space of criminals between countries. During Minister Çiftçi's contacts, it is expected that messages will be given to make cooperation in the field of security more effective by directly sharing the mutual demands and expectations of the Turkish States.
