It was revealed that British Prime Minister Andy Burnham exchanged messages with a person impersonating Susie Wiles, US President Donald Trump's Chief of Staff. Burnham reportedly later suspected that the person she had been communicating with was not the real Wiles.

According to Politico's report, based on 4 officials, Burnham communicated with a person pretending to be Trump's Chief of Staff Susie Wiles. It was reported that after a while, the British Prime Minister suspected that the person he was messaging was not the real Wiles. The content of the messages between Burnham and the person impersonating Wiles and when they were sent were not disclosed.

"THE MESSAGES DID NOT HAVE ANY IMPORTANCE"

British Prime Minister's Office Number 10 said in its statement regarding Politico's news: "We do not comment on national security issues." he said. Sources said Burnham exchanged "a few messages" with the person after entering the Prime Minister's Office. Sources stated that the messages were "of no importance" and that the messages were immediately reported to the relevant authorities after it was realized that the situation was suspicious.

ENGLAND SAID THE ISSUE TO THE WHITE HOUSE

The British Embassy in Washington conveyed the issue to the White House due to concern about the incident. The White House did not comment on the allegations.

The White House and the FBI launched an investigation last year after senators, governors and US business people received messages and phone calls from a person claiming to be Trump's Chief of Staff Susie Wiles. It was noteworthy that the last incident was similar to this previous case.
