Instituto de Fernandin OIG alleges loss of resources after betting ban and announces strike; businessman has already testified to the CPI das Bets
Businessman was interviewed by the CPI das Bets in 2024 after being appointed by the commission as a representative of Fortune Tiger, known as “Jogo do Tigrinho”.

The OIG Institute announced on Saturday (26) the suspension of its activities for an indefinite period. The decision came after a provisional measure prohibited fixed-odd betting.
The entity's president, Fernando Oliveira Lima, gave a statement to the CPI das Bets in November 2024. At the time, the businessman denied representing the Fortune Tiger game.
The interruption affects the monthly donation of more than 40 thousand basic food baskets. The transfers also served elderly shelters and animal protection institutions.

The OIG Institute announced, in a statement released on Saturday (26), the suspension of its activities for an indefinite period due to a lack of financial resources. According to the institution, the decision occurred after the interruption of transfers from its main financier, affected by a provisional measure signed by the Federal Government that banned fixed-odd bets in the country, known as bets. The OIG Institute is chaired by businessman and digital influencer Fernando Oliveira Lima, known as Fernandin OIG. In November 2024, he was summoned to give testimony to the Bets Parliamentary Inquiry Commission (CPI), in the Federal Senate, after being appointed by the commission as a representative of Fortune Tiger, a game popularly known as “Jogo do Tigrinho”. At the time, he denied it.

In a statement published on social media, the institute reported that the company made a monthly donation of more than 40 thousand basic food baskets, in addition to contributing financially to the services of institutions assisted by the organization.
"Without these resources, and without it being our choice, we are no longer able to continue this help," the institute said in a statement.
The entity also highlighted that the stoppage of activities is not considered irreversible at this time.
"We have faith that the situation will be reversed and we will be pleased to resume our activities as soon as possible", informed the institution's press office.
The OIG Institute did not detail how long activities will remain suspended nor which projects will be directly affected by the measure.
Founder of the institute testified to the CPI das Bets
During his testimony to the CPI das Bets, Fernando Oliveira Lima denied being the owner or representative of Fortune Tiger, popularly known as “Jogo do Tigrinho”.
The commission investigated the activities of companies in the online betting sector and the promotion of these platforms by digital influencers.
At the time, the businessman stated that his relationship with the betting sector was linked to the provision of advertising services for companies in the segment.

The MP banned, overnight, the activities of the Institute's main supporting company, whose monthly donations guaranteed the delivery of basic food baskets to more than 40 thousand families, the construction and renovation of dozens of houses, service to institutions such as shelters for the elderly and the sending of food to hundreds of animal protection institutions.
Without these resources, and without it being our choice, we are no longer able to continue this help, and it is with great sadness that we make this announcement.
The Institute was born from the purpose of its founder, of humble origins, to share part of what he received with society. This purpose remains alive, and we will work to resume donations as soon as possible.
